holy crap. that was so fun! first and foremost, we'd
like to thank you, the attendees of the second bi-annual-gay-as-all-get-out
extravaganza so much for making the trek to come to fair olympia for
the homofest. we know you saved your pennies up and we were thrilled
to have so many people make the choice to spend their time, their
hearts and their guts joining in the festival. the attendance was
amazing. we thank you all so deeply.
We are happy to report that we will be donating at least $5000 to
our beneficiary, the Olympia based Gender Variant Healthcare Project
(GVHP). We are still tabulating and paying bills so that figure might
go up slightly. This donation will enable them to increase their visibility
to gender variant folks in the Olympia area, keep paying the rent,
continue to provide trainings for healthcare professionals, continue
to provide referral services for gender variant people and provide
trainings for their volunteer staff. Thank you to everyone for helping
increase awareness in our community about healthcare issues for gender
variant folks and to make real improvements in the lives of gender
variant people here in the South (Puget) Sound area.
also we want to thank the volunteer staff for working during play
time, and for doing so with good cheer and largely incredible fashion
sense. and we would like to thank the performers. ya'll just read
your hearts out, dropped musical genius on the stage and made a big
party out of it. we salute you. we appreciate you. we are amazed by
your generosity and your commitment to art, the gvhp, and the belief
you have shown in our young endeavor. thank you so much. we'd like
also to thank the staff who worked for months from various locations
around the country to make the festival come together. again, we wonder
if anyone has truly caught up on their sleep yet.

We are releasing 200 tickets on buyolympia.com
and 200 at Rainy Day Records in Olympia for the August 5 appearance
of the Indigo Girls. Once these tickets sell out we will release more
tickets on buyolympia.com as pass sales and capacity limits of the
Capitol Theater permit.
Pass holders are allowed to enter in the first hour
of the show; after which we will most likely open up more single tickets
that can be purchased at the door. Sorry we can't tell you exactly
how many yet, but this is a very rare performance in a small venue
and intimate setting, so it's worth the wait!
Listen to a radio show about HAGG here.
Thanks to Pat Maley for producing the show and to This
Way Out radio for playing it!!
July 23, 2004

We get an A+ for turning our assignment (the
SCHEDULE of course) in
a day early. Yes, I can be bratty. And, ok, so the workshops aren't
on there yet, but it sure looks good so far. Oooo, before I forget,
if anyone gets your picture or pass order returned in the mail just
resend it -- we had a little homo mix up with the PO peeps and it's
all cleared up now. AND, if you can't see these scroll windows clearly,
simply adjust your browser window to the right or left and viola!

Holy Fagrimony! The passes
are on sale now! Just knock on the store door to the left. That's
right--can we all say FINALLY!
I say better late than no pleasure. OK so, the schedule will be finalized
by the end of the month and a lot can happen before then... you know,
like a savvy fairy ball and a david bowie clone. HUSTLING will commence
on June 5th and there will be a poker tourney benefit to attend as
well--> June 19th.

Lots of confirmed artists, including a very special
guest who shall remain nameless until late July due to some monstrosity
called a "contractual agreement" my dear. The Homo Hustler
Fundraising Party is on the prowl with springfever. Yes, madsirs,
June 5th to be exact and at the crazy Capitol House -- loads of dancing,
drinks, food, entertainment, and lala games! Also, the first volunteer
meeting is May 23rd, 2 PM @ the K space. We would sure love to see
your lovely mug there. As with any DIY festival, the kinks get worked
out over time, don't you worry.
March 2004
It's all really happening. After 2002 we didn't
know if we'd ever do this again but we couldn't say no, the last one
was too much fun. We especially couldn't say no when Team Dresch decided
to do one show only at our little festival. That's right, Team Dresch:
Jody, Kaia, Donna, Marci and Melissa. Come on people, how can you
not come to Olympia, they havent' played together in 10 years. They
were only one of the most influential queer bands ever. Passes will
be on sale soon. We have lots of other awesome people coming to Olympia.
We're especially excited that Imani Henry will be performing for us.
Go to the confirmed artist page to see everyone who will be in Olympia
Aug. 3-8th.
